Piano Lessons
I’m an enthusiastic teacher who truly believes that music enhances all aspects of an individual’s life. Students of my studio typically enjoy either a 30 or 45 minute lesson. Over the years I have found that beginner and intermediate students are better suited for a 30 minute lesson where intermediate and advanced students are better suited for a 45 minute lesson.
I have never believed in a one size fits all approach to teaching, and my 30+ years of experience has given me the ability to identify a student’s best way to learn and allows me to tailor my teaching method accordingly. I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to teach individuals from the age of 5 all the way up to 75. Everyone has a unique goal when they decide to study music, and it would be my pleasure to help you achieve it.
All students of my studio have the option to display their learning in our annual recital that is held for their family and friends. Additionally, students have the option to take part in our annual Piano Guild, a division of the American College of Musicians, which is a non-competitive audition for students of all levels in which students are judged by individual merit. Students also have the opportunity to enter into judged and non-judged recitals and competitions through the Montgomery County Music Teachers Association as well as the Maryland State Music Teachers Association.
